Pump Horsepower Chart
Pump horsepower charts are quick references for the same fluid-power relation: power rises directly with flow and pressure, then motor size depends on overall efficiency.

Hydraulic power shortcut
hydraulic kW = flow_L_min * pressure_bar / 600
Horsepower workflow
- Calculate delivered flow from displacement and rpm.
- Calculate hydraulic power from flow and pressure.
- Divide by overall efficiency to get shaft power.
- Round motor size up to the next practical rating.
Worked example
A pump delivering 24.8 L/min at 160 bar needs 6.6 kW hydraulic power. At 85% overall efficiency, shaft power is 7.8 kW, about 10.5 hp.
