GD&T Calculators
Run the numbers on GD&T and metrology: true position TP = 2·√(ΔX²+ΔY²) with MMC bonus tolerance, composite position, flatness, cylindricity, runout and tolerance stack-up, plus ISO 286 hole/shaft fits and press-fit interference.
True Position
GD&T true position from X/Y deviation with MMC bonus tolerance and a pass/fail check.
MMC Bonus Tolerance
MMC/LMC bonus tolerance from a feature’s departure from its material limit.
Composite Position Tolerance
Two-tier PLTZF/FRTZF position check from X/Y deviation.
Flatness Tolerance
Flatness (surface form) from measured points, with a pass/fail check.
Hole & Shaft Fit
ISO 286 hole-basis clearance-fit limits and clearance (H7/g6, H8/f7, …).
Press Fit / Interference
Interference-fit contact pressure, assembly force, torque capacity and hub stress (Lamé).
Cylindricity & Runout
Runout (TIR) and cylindricity zone from indicator and diameter readings.
Tolerance Stack-Up
Worst-case and RSS tolerance stack limits from signed dimensions and plus/minus tolerances.
No gd&t calculator matches that. Try a broader term, or .
These calculators turn an inspection report into a pass/fail answer. The true position calculator converts X/Y deviation into the cylindrical tolerance zone TP = 2·√(ΔX²+ΔY²) and adds the MMC bonus a feature earns as it departs from its material limit; composite callouts are checked against both the PLTZF and FRTZF tiers, and flatness, cylindricity and runout (TIR) reduce indicator readings to a single zone width. For assembly studies, the tolerance stack-up calculator compares worst-case limits with RSS statistical limits from signed dimensions.
On the fits side, the hole and shaft fit calculator resolves ISO 286 hole-basis grades (H7/g6, H8/f7, H9/d9) from the standard tolerance unit, and the press-fit interference calculator applies Lamé thick-cylinder theory for contact pressure, assembly force and hub stress.
This is built for machinists checking first articles, quality engineers writing inspection plans, and designers stacking tolerances. Every result shows the governing formula and the ASME Y14.5 or ISO 286 basis behind it. No quote gate, no shallow physics widget: metric and imperial, with the bonus-tolerance and interference work the broad calculators skip.
