What the site provides

MachineCalcs offers free calculators, reference tables and guides for machine design, shop and trade work. Each tool uses published formulas or disclosed screening equations, with the assumptions and limits shown on the page. The site is free to use and may show ads.

Engineering use

Results are reference estimates, not engineering approvals. They rely on typical published values and simplifying assumptions, and no page is sealed or reviewed by a licensed professional engineer unless that reviewer is named on it. Before you build, buy or certify anything, check every value against the governing code or standard and your supplier's certified data, and have safety-critical or load-bearing designs reviewed by a qualified professional. You are responsible for how you use the results.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep formulas and data correct and fix errors when we find them, but we don't promise that any result, table or page is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MachineCalcs and the people who run it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its results, including design failures, material or production costs, injury or lost profits.

Embeds and the public API

You may embed calculators on your own pages with the provided embed code, keeping its credit link to MachineCalcs. The public calculator API and MCP endpoint are offered for reasonable use; don't send traffic that degrades the site for others. We may rate-limit or block traffic that harms the service.

Acceptable use

Don't attempt to disrupt, overload or break into the site, and don't copy the site wholesale to republish it as your own. Quoting individual results with a link back is fine.

Content and data

The site's text, code, design and compiled reference tables belong to MachineCalcs. Engineering formulas and published standard values are facts and remain free for everyone; where a table comes from a named reference, the page cites it.

Links and ads

Pages may link to other sites and show ads from third parties. We don't control those sites or ads and aren't responsible for their content, products or privacy practices. How advertising uses cookies is explained in the privacy policy.

Changes
