Heat Treatment Planning Suite
Plan a quench-and-temper from the steel up: austenitizing soak, carburized case depth, martensite start from composition, then temper to the target hardness.
Workflow map
Start at the stage that matches the job in front of you; each stage links directly to the calculators and lookup tools that support it.
- 1
Soak and case-harden
Hold the austenitizing soak for the section, then drive the carburized case to depth — both from the time-at-temperature relations.
- 2
Quench — predict the structure
Martensite start from composition (Andrews), and how much austenite is left at the quench temperature (Koistinen-Marburger).
- 3
Temper to hardness
Trade temper time against temperature with the Larson-Miller parameter, then cross-read the hardness scales.
Tools in this workflow
Calculators come first, followed by lookup tools and reference pages when this workflow needs tabular data.
