  • Elastic weld-group method: direct line load is F/L and torsional line load is M*r/J with M = F*e.
  • The stress check uses the 0.707*leg throat and allowable weld shear of 0.30*F_EXX. Base metal, fatigue and code resistance factors are not included.
  • This simplified tool checks rectangular line-weld layouts under in-plane eccentric load only. Out-of-plane bending and instantaneous-center methods are outside this model.
